  • Zeiss Gradal Top 2 or GT2 PAL

I no longer dispense but can still bend temples with the best of 'em- just so you know my review will be from first hand wearing experience, not from dispensing.

I got my Zeiss Gradal Top 2 (GT2) PAL's 2 days ago, I was wearing a Panamic (Essilor) and was not unhappy just needed a new Rx. WOW-I was blown away when I looked at my computer screen, unbelievable clarity. Distance is equally as crisp and comfortable. The cosmetics in the 1.67 were astonishing. I am -4.25 -1.00 x18 OD and put them in a rimless grooved frame, much thinner than I had hoped!! I even purposely omitted checking the groove box so the lab wouldn't add thickness (I knew there would be enough there to groove without it) Teehee, sorry lab guys/gals. It is significantly thinner than I envisioned. You can't beat Zeiss when it comes to superior optics thats for sure. :bbg:

Rodenstock progressive lenses. Great optics, similar designs to Zeiss but smoother. Their basic progressive is the Progressiv Life 2, fits at 18 high, and their short corridor is the Progressiv XS.

I was never impressed by Rodenstock. Just seemed when I moved them into something else I got a better response.
