    Question Post-Cataract Glare Issues

One of our clients seems to be having a high number of glare complaints from post surgical patients while night driving.
These are the things that she has tried with little to no success-
    AR
    Transitions with AR
    Tint with AR
    Yellow polarized lenses
    Yellow polarized lenses with AR

Does anyone have any additional suggestions that have worked for one of your patients?

Any and all suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Ha Ha-but this is Florida ( love bugs and such )and so that could just possibly be one solution. Are there anymore that our client might not balk at?

Are the patients all from the same surgeon? How far post-surgical are they? Perhaps some residual inflammation, capsular opacification, or the type/positioning of the IOL is the real issue.

Regardless, perhaps some kind of neutral density tint may help. I hate putting people into tinted lenses for driving at night though.

Remember too that they are used to a hazy brown lens and now have a nice clear one. Some adaptation will be necessary.

For the love of all that is holy: try to quantify and qualify the "glare". When you determine what it is, then you'll have a chance to fix it.
