Is Autograph equal to Zeiss Individual?

I originally thought that the totally free-form lenses were by Zeiss ,Seiko,Hoya,Kodak and Shamir. Now L hear different claims about who holds the patents. I think the most important thing, regardless of free-form or not, is the result for my patients. But, who does hold the patent for free-form technology? L have not dispensed as many Autographs as I have Physio 360, Definity, Zeiss Individual or Kodak Unique, but I have received nothing but superlative feedback from all of these lenses. I myself have worn Physio which was far better than Panamic and Unique is better than Physio but subtly so. My impression from dispensing thes lenses is that the intermediate and distance zones on the Definity, Individual and 360 are huge. It seems the Autograph is similar.Anyone have experience with the Autograph relative to the others?
By the way, I don't use Seiko or Hoya, but that's because my local lab doesn't recommend them. Thoughts?

FEZZ asked me to comment so I will:

This industry is position in a way that retail opticals expect the local lab to be able to be all things to all optical retailers. I don't think they can properly do this in house. They can order various products from various companies who process lenses. With the emerging freeform technologies you will find various differences in products but in general if the designs are good and the software that manages the designs is good, and the processing is done properly the patient should see additional benefits compared to a traditional PAL.

At ICE-TECH we have pushed the envelope for designs and can produce large lenses with small PDs and large ED's.

We don't offer free trials without a commitment. We have over a 99% adaptation rate, so we know it is a business decision that each practice needs to make.

We offer 100% patient satisfaction. We also offer complementary lenses for the dispensing optican or Dr. of the practice.

rdcoach, IMHO you may have received improper information from your local lab concerning staying away from Hoya Individual. I think many Optiboarders will agree with me that the Individual is one of the best pals on the market, incredible lens. I have no stock in hoya, it's not even our go to pal, but I think thier products, including the Individual, are considered among the top in the industry. Just a guess, but your local lab may have a vested interest in swaying you away from Hoya products.

Autograph 2 now my favorite lens.

Now that this thread is almost a year old, I am now wearing the Autograph 2 and it is even better than Sola HDV for my high minus Rx.
-9.25+ 1.00 x155. for me, it's very close to a single vision lens as far as lack of any side distortion and the width of the intermediate is huge.
