    Thumbs up

I've always had my own codes for patients, and somewhere on the record card I put my 2, 3 or 4 letter reference which reminds me who the patient is and what are their peculiarities or good points. These are always things that can't be registered traditionally!!

I would hesitate to write any of these 'codes' here, but I'm sure you can all guess what they are, patients are patients the world over.......aren't they?

Anyone else indulge in this or is it just me?

Great idea, Clive. We have our own verbal codes, but I think we can fit them somewhere on our computer notes.

A caution here, as there have been cases in the past where medical files were audited and the 'codes' used were required for clarification by auditors. Have a good backup story!
