    Chris, thanks for the link to this story. As you're aware there has been some debate regarding the definition of a hardcoat (scratchcoat, etc) on this site. Hopefully, this puts that debate to rest.

    Yes, the link is valuable and insightful. It has convinced me to use the phrase "hard coating and scratch resistant coating" interchangeable just as everyone else seems to do in the optical industry.
