    Aspheric Lenticular

I have a little boy who is aphakic. Wears RGP's but needs specs for night time. My lab is telling me that they I can't get an aspheric lenticular bifocal lens any longer. Says its on indefinate back order which usually means that it is no longer available. I had them made in a hyper-ashperic and they are very thick and heavy. The mother isn't going to accept them. Any ideas, and does anyone know if its true that those lenses are no longer available.

Both lenticular and aspheric designs reach a point of diminished returns in very small eye-sizes, such as a small child might require. What eyesize are we talking here?

I think his current pair which is about 4-5 years old are the same size, but they look great with the lenticular lens in them.

Find a lab with a free form generator and have them make you a reverse lenticular. This puts the "bubble" on the back, the front can be any type of lens including bi's.
