    Soon...fishing

Weather gettin better, won't be long till the fish are biting. I go fly-fishing with my brother in his float plane so we get into lakes where the trout line up to bite. Also I enjoy crabbing, and salmon fishing in the Fraser.
Hold on, my fishing brethren, the fish will be biting again, and warmer days approach.
    Fish on my brothers.(and sisters)

Can't wait. Was just this past week seeing a few cars parked at one of the fishing spots along the Fraser so I knew it was coming up to fishing season soon!

I'm impressed with the number of women who have joined this sport-- many other gals here on OptiBoard who fish?

The fishing never stops here, except in July when the ice is too thin ;) ;)

Fishing never stops here either and we don't have ice. Just have to wear a jacket a month or two.

 How dare you commit blasphemy against the fishing fraternity by your vile suggestion that beating a little white ball around has something over the battle we fight against a cunning, determined, and elusive foe. And you should have seen the one that got away.

What size gear will those back lake trout require?

Don't know how much fishin' we'll be doin, but...

...we just put a "hold" payment on our first boat. We live 1/2 mile from Lake Lewisville (a lake covering about 30 square miles), and we chose our neighborhood thinking we would eventually purchase something to go out on the water.

I'm told there's fish to be had in the lake- they have a tournament there every year, so there's sure to be a line in the water eventually!

Nice looking boat Pete. Is that a ski bar I see on the back?

Bayliner make a stronger boat now than they did at first. They always made pretty boats.Originally, the stringers were made from 1X2s. Made the boat light, but not much rigidity and they suffered from many associated problems - windows breaking or not fitting, floorboards coming up, and actual hull damage. That's why I got a 19' Starcraft. 2X4 stringers, thicker hull,4.3L V-6 OMC Cobra outdrive. It replaced our Galaxy 15' tri-hull. Had to get rid of the Starcraft a few years ago due to back problems being compounded by pounding through the waves.

Yeah, there's a removeable ski bar- but it will probably be towing a wake tube for the time being...
