Poker players/ fans

I was thinking the other day I've never seen anyone mention playing poker, in particular, hold'em. Do any of you folks play or am I the odd man out,,,,again?

Poker playing fool here. I play twice a week at some local taverns/tournaments. I do pretty well, usually in the money or real close(one place counts "points" at final table).

I play once a month, tourney style, with 20+ guys. We all put in $60 and 10 of it goes to the pizza and booze. We always have a great time and once in awhile I'll end up in the money. Nice payoff!

Ditch those expensive home games. You should be able to find a tavern, lounge, bar, sports extravaganza beer room that has a tourney at NO CHARGE. I play two a week, no charge. Top prize=$100-$150, second=$50 Gift certificate, third+sucks being you. If you make it to the final table at one, you get "points". The points go towards the "BIG TOURNEY". Top prize $300-$400, 2nd=$200, 3rd=$100.

My dearest daughter no longer has a paid in full college fund because of it!;)



I truly DESPISE......Ace+Jack. Suited or not, I hate 'em. I have lost more real money(mortgage..YIKES, college funds, dog food money, beer fund, etc.), and more bogus money on that stinking hand.

How about everyone else. Any one hand that slaps you around?



PS. The above was said in jest, to make a funny, a poor attempt to get a smile. I am only an Optician, did you really think I could afford my kids college fund, a mortgage, beer fund or even dog food money? Heck, paying for groceries is even tough! ;^)
