    Only PAL identifier I have ever seen is an OLA labs Identifier, you sure we're not talking about the same thing?

    I believe Beer is talking about the backlit device made by Essilor used to read laser markings.

    PAL ID Progressive Lens Identifier

    How can we make one on our own? It doesn't have to be pretty just save our necks. Thinking out loud---how does it work? Light source, magnification, black back drop or 2 polarized lenses opposite? I don't know but I miss it, we had it in school. Actually, why the heck aren't they supplied to us? Tired of hurting my neck.
