Carl Zeiss Vision and Transitions Optical Celebrate
Launch of GT2 by ZEISS with Party, Giveaways

On Friday, September 15, after a long day on the show floor, eye care professionals attending Vision Expo West experienced total party satisfaction at a gala event hosted by Carl Zeiss Vision and Transitions Optical to celebrate the launch of GT2, the latest progressive lens design from ZEISS.

“GT2 progressive lenses are engineered for total satisfaction,” said Steve Mitrakos, CZV’s Senior Director of Marketing. “To achieve that, we’ve taken advantage of proprietary visual ergonomic research to create a better global design, and we’ve optimized that design point-by-point using the most sophisticated design tools. So to celebrate the launch of this visually satisfying new lens, we created a fun, satisfying experience at the end of a long day at Expo.”

Upon entering the party, each guest was given a “total satisfaction number” which was also an entry into a sweepstakes drawing. Five prizes were given away. Each was designed to fully satisfy one or more of the five senses, with the grand prize – a $3,000 travel voucher, intended to satisfy all five.

Steve Mitrakos summed up the evening: “This is our third consecutive year hosting the celebration event at Vision Expo West and each year it has grown in attendance. This year we had our largest turn-out ever, with more than 1,000 eye care professionals in attendance. And a satisfying time was had by all. We enjoyed spending time with our friends and partners in the eye care community while raising awareness of GT2 by ZEISS.”
