Do I really have only one choice of PAL?

My computer eye test results are as follows:

    SPH: -11.0
    CYL: -0.75
    AXA:170

The optician said that I have only one choice of progressive lens as follows:
    GLASS with 1.8 index

And since he has only one brand, I practically have no options of lenses from other manufacturers.

I really wish that my choice is not that limited, and also wish that options on plastic materials are available for me. If yes, what are they?

    Please help!

    Winnie

There are a lot of opticians in Singapore, see another and seek his advise.

As Chip said see someone else. There are other options, although each one would have it's own strengths and weaknesses.

Also per the OptiBoard Posting Guidelines:

Consumers are allowed to post on the Board, as long as the posts concern general eyecare related topics. However please be aware that any questions that involve diagnosing specific eyecare and eyewear problems are not appropriate for an online discussion forum. These kinds of questions should be discussed with a qualified eyecare professional who has examined you and is familiar with your situation. Posts asking for diagnostic help will be closed or removed.
