New To optical bussiness

I am a newly licensed optician and working on opening a small store in Brooklyn NY, I was curious on what permits do I need to acquire prior to operating I will be the only person working.

LOOKING TO BUY COUNTER AND DISPLAY CASES also in need of frames no brand or china and also designer frames looking to buy asap. looking for wall display any recomindations will be greatly opriciated,
FOR A NEW GUY IS IT BETTER TO WORK WITH A BUYING GROUP OR DIRECT????

Good luck!

If you are not planing to spend a lot on the desighner frames you are better of with a buying groop. Otherwise you get no discount.
Dont wory about frames as soon as you open up you wil have 20 reps at your dorsteps. Make shure you see them all before making a purchasing arangements.

I REALY wish you GOOD LUCK if you just got your License and dont have much experience in optical field!
I think we realy need more optical stores in Brooklyn!

You're right I should have mentioned about my experience since this is my first post, but nevertheless I have about 3 years of optical exp. in a private and "lenscrafters" been in sales for over 10. I truly apriciate the post, keep them coming would love to see more replies.

I closed my shop in June and still have 400 frames to sell. they are a mixture of Designers like Eastern States Diva and Jaguar, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Liz Claiborne, and also alot of nice off-brand so to speak.
