    DIY Painting of Spectacle Frames???

Hi all, Could you please share your experiences on whether you've painted a spectacle frame into a different color than what the manufacturers already offers.

A gentlemen came into my shop one day and ask if it's possible to paint his brushed silver colored titanium frame into a metallic blue color. We don't provide that kind of service nor do we know anyone who does.

However, this incident prompts the possibility of customizing our customers eyewear if requested. Has anyone done the same and what kind of tools, materials and procedures are required? Appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.

Make a search on powder coatings and you will find it all.

    I used to work for a guy . . .

that took those old Porsche Carreras to his brothers shop and had them powder coated. They looked really cool and I actually ran into one of those frames (they're almost 20 years old at this point) up in Breckenridge last year.
Worry is a waste of imagination!

Try OKOart at www.opticalstore.com. I've used them in the past and have been quite pleased with the end product.
