seeking help with transition / tinting lens (consumer post)

    Hello,

I hope this isn't intrusive /annoying to post a randon consumer question here, but if anyone could help me with this I would be very appreciative.

I've had a pair of transition lenses for several years now, perhaps 4. They do tint in the sunlight and they revert when brought indoors - but I have a problem with them that I think is worsening. They no loner revert to a totally colorless, transparent color when indoors - they now retain a permanent yellowish tint.

Is there some way I can clean / treat them so that they can become colorless again, or are they stuck that way? Any help would be very appreciated! :bbg:

Nothing you can do about the yellow. Just tint them sunglass grey maybe for permanate sunglasses. Go get another pair. You got way more than your moneys worth. You should buy another pair and give compliments to the old pair. Really! Four years is very, very good.

    Agreed.

We need food on the table too :) You should also get your eyes checked again because your prescription has probably changed by now. Most photochromatic and transition lenses start with a 3% color tinge to them to begin with, and this worsens over time. But it is time for a new pair!

:finger:Opps. Someone forgot to tell her they stop changing as well after 2 years.:finger:

Lenses are only made to last the life of the rx, one year. Hahaha just saw how old the original post was.

We have a pt. who claims that all her glasses come with a lifetime warranty (her lifetime of course) no matter how many times we explain to her that what she says we sold her has never been sokd here before.

Love is a duet, each voice complementing each other and making them sound better than they would alone, each voice at times stepping back and letting the other shine. We've got a pretty good duet going Tina.

On April 28th, I'll be marrying my best friend. I can't wait!
