    Vsp ?

    Hi,

I remember working with a doctor who used to have a form for VSP
but was not taking insurance,We used to call in VSP and ask the the paitients assignment of benifits and we would give them the discount up front and receive
a VSP check in 1-2 weeks, the paitient would fill out a form and sign it,would this be a out of network form? can this still be done?

    I don't think so. . .

You can go to www.eyefinity.com . I know you can't paper submit anymore. The patient can use you and get their reimbersement, but I don't think you can get a check from VSP without being a provider. You might also find the answer by calling 1-800-615-1883, push 3, push 1 and that will get you to a live person.

I could be wrong and will be interested to hear what one of our insurance gurus has to say. It'd be slick if there was a way to get around it!

There are some EXTREME cases when you do paper submit. But it will cost you your first born, your best dog and you left leg and arm not to mention your frame of mind.

What's "Frame/Lenses out of network"? Aren't they making reference out of FramesData price book?

    vsp

(out of network), Means NOT going to a VSP authorized OD/Optician shop.

Meaning they do NOT take insurance,so you have a choice where you would like to go BUT limited only to VSP carriers if you want the better discount.

I have the OUT OF NETWORK form from VSP.

So I have VSP and want to go to a place of choice.I pick a pair of glasses and lenes I ask the Dr.for a itemized reciept of cost of frames & lenes ect.
I get the form faxed and fill it out and mail it to VSP instead of the Dr. getting
reimburst you get a check from VSP.....

And the other insurance companies eyecare plans are a joke....
