    Crier Peripheral Distortion

    Hi all.

I dispensed Nikon Soltes Web Lens to one translator. Now, He complains his peripheral vision. especially, when he turn head and eye, he feels peripheral distortion and dizziness.

I think the reason is related to it's design. In addition, I feel need of design change. such as Zeiss Gradal RD.

Patient's prescription and Lens information are as below.

    Prescription: OD S-0.75 C-0.25 180 / OS S-0.50 / Add +1.50
Lens Information: Nikon Soltes Web Lens Type II

I'd like to hear your opinion and kind advice.

Try a different progressive lens....send the lenses back for a full credit. For many reasons some people are more sensitive to certain progressive lens designs

Im not familiar with the soltes web lens but if you can access a nikon i the swim/ dizziness and peripheral distortion should be less...in most cases anyway.

Dont forget one thing.........................sending lenses back for full credit works only on the US and Canada.

In other countries you order and pay...............and if you made a mistake you have to learn from them. you can not blame the lab (unless there is an obvious error on their part) nor the manufacturer.

Sure, distortion can be related to design...changing the design could also make a difference, but, here you are referencing 2 progressive lens catagories....Nikon W (customized progressive catagory) and Zeiss RD (computer/occupational category) Are you sure you want to limit his distance viewing range in order to control peripheral distortion?
