So, who is going to hoist the chalice?
Detroit Red Wings
Dallas Stars
Calgary Flames
Nashville Predators
San Jose Sharks
Anaheim Ducks
Colorado Avalanche
Edmonton Oilers
Ottawa Senators
Carolina Hurricanes
New Jersey Devils
Buffalo Sabres
Philadelphia Flyers
New York Rangers
Montreal Canadiens
Tampa Bay Lightning
None (ice is only used in my drink)
So, who is going to hoist the chalice?
I voted Calgary
Hoping for a Calgary/Ottawa final.
If they can stay healthy (especially Forsberg) and...
If they play as well as they are capapble of playing...
The Flyers may be there in the end.
I don't know enough about the West to predict the finals outcome, and the East has some tough competition, but hopefully my Flyers will be there in the end

...Just ask me...
They're playing hockey still?

Ya, just not in Hartford. Actually, the NHL had its best fiscal year ever this year.Originally Posted by Aarlan

Outdoor Life Network
I know what it stands for, but what I meant to ask is HOW THE HELL DID THEY GET THE NHL RIGHTS????? Many passing fans (present company included) would watch a normal network but couldn't find OLN if you paid them.
Besides, how many NHL games are played outdoors?

After the strike no American cable station wanted to air the NHL. OLN did.Originally Posted by Aarlan
Well, after the wooping the Flyers got on Monday night, we should see from their performance tonight if they'll be around after Friday...![]()

The only good thing I can say about the Bolts is that they are playing like the 2002 team. Give Torts the off season to get them back in line.
Like I said months ago, the winning team will be wearing Red and Black.......
Not the Flames, not the Whal...er...Hurricanes....just watch out for Jersey.
"Coimhéad fearg fhear na foighde"
The Senators will be the Champions
Go Avs!!:D
Worry is a waste of imagination!
Well, they didn't...and they won't be.Originally Posted by Spexvet

I think the Sabres are good, but not that good.Originally Posted by Spexvet
Sad to see Montreal go.
So we are heading to the semi's with Edmonton, Buffalo, Carolina, and Anahiem. Some interesting facts for all of you:
- All four teams missed the playoffs during the last season
- Two of the four teams threatened to fold if there was no salary cap during the lock out (Edmonton and Carolina).
- Three rookie goalies and four rookie playoff goalies
- Three teams who have never won the cup
Maggie the Monkey returns to the NHL on TSN
Maggie - the furry, crab-eating macaque from the Bowmanville Zoo - has returned to the NHL on TSN.
In 2003, she quickly became a hero in the hockey world, picking the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim to reach the Stanley Cup Final with the spin of a wheel. Having picked other big winners through three rounds of the playoffs, Maggie enjoyed new-found fame as the sport's wisest prognosticating primate.
The Stanley Cup simian was not as successful in her 2004 postseason run, though she did pick the Tampa Bay Lightning and Calgary Flames to meet in the Final. Maggie then picked Darryl Sutter's squad to take it all, but Lightning head coach John Tortorella had other ideas as Tampa Bay won the Cup in seven games.
The NHL lockout gave our little friend some time to recharge, and now she's ready to start all over again for the 2006 Playoffs.
Follow Maggie's selections on the NHL on TSN and TSN.ca, and see how she fares against our panel of hockey experts - Bob McKenzie and Pierre McGuire. Playoff analyst Bill Berg, seen nightly on NHL Network's NHL on the Fly Playoff Edition, also makes his selections.
