System For Opthalmic Dispensing

Hi folks,

I am hoping one of our UK Opti-Boarders can let me know if this is correct.

In the UK, is there a 3rd Edition of the book "System For Opthalmic Dispensing" ???????

I would like to update my books and was thinking about purchasing the 2nd edition, since my 1st edition has a few coffee stains:drop:......But, if there is a 3rd edition (which I've seen on some UK sites and not on US or Canadian sites), I prefer to purchase the 3rd.

Just want to make sure its truly is the 3rd edition before I make the purchase...

I don't know if it is actually out yet or not, but I am 99.758% sure that a 3rd edition was in the works at the end of last year- so it should be out pretty soon. I can check with the publisher here at Vision Expo East and report back. This book is easily the "Bible" of dispensing, and I look forward to seeing its update.

I was able to email Dr Brooks to see were I could get a copy of his UNDERSTANDING LENS SURFACING and he mentioned that he was planning on a new edition that should be out some time soon. I think that it will be available at www.bh.com. I still have the original:hammer: Can't wiat for a more up to date version.

I checked with the publisher's rep during VisionExpo... It looks like Brooks has a 3rd edition of System for Ophthalmic Dispensing due out in a few months, but nothing on the books for a 2nd edition of Understanding Lens Surfacing.
