    Prescription Oakley or Bollee Sunglasses

    Hello All,

Many of you were kind enough to provide advice when I recently posted a message in regard to a PD problem that I have been having. Since you treated me so well, I am back for more! =)

Now that I am settled into a new (and correct) Rx, I am anxious to try to have a pair of "sporty" (i.e. Oakley/Bolle) sunglasses made. I've done a bit of "googling" on this and have discovered that it is possible to have this done.

I am wondering if anyone can offer any feedback based on my prescription, which is listed below. I've been told that my sphere might rule out many options, but did also see a few sites where listed were Bolle frames that could accomodate spheres as far as -6.

Also, can anyone offer advice on how to attain the product other than via the internet? I mean, as pedestrian as this sounds, are there optical shops that carry Oakley/Bolle?

    Prescription:
    OD: -3 Sphere, -1.75 Cyl, 06 Axis, Prism 2.5 out, .5 down
OS: -3 Sphere, -2.5 Cyl, 167 Axis, Prism 2.5 out

    Thanks in advance!
    James

You may want to consider Rudy Project, or a similar system. There is a higher initial investment in some cases, but when your Rx changes in a few years, you're not starting from scratch and paying for tint, polarization and coatings all over again.

You may want to e-mail optiboarder Awtech, he can produce high Rx's in wrap type frames with his propietary processing technique. He also has his own line of sunglasses called ICE-TECH.

Why don't you talk to the Optician who made your dress eyewear?
