Buying group recommendation?

How many of you use buying groups? Do you find them useful? Do you have a buying group that you prefer over others?

I think villavecchia in New York is great to deal with.

Many vendors participate with BLOCK but they give the least amount of time (less than 15 days) to mail in their $$.

Nova Med Alliance is another that works with many vendors and a little more user friendly by giving you until the 25th of the month to make payment.

BG's have worked well for us when starting out but as we are seeing better volume, we are beginning to consider maximizing discounts directly from vendors.

That's why I'm interested. The vendors we use currently we use enough of to get very good deals with, but many that we don't deal with I want to make sure I can get a decent price (special order high end frames for example).

We use Diversified, and have been very pleased with them. Range is between 15-20% for most lines, some of the premium lines are around 10%.
