VARILUX, AIRWEAR AND THIN&LITE PRODUCTS

Sites Offer ECPs and Consumers Wealth of Product and Industry Information

DALLAS – (February 6, 2006) – Essilor of America, Inc. announces the launch of three new Web sites for its Varilux®, Airwear® and Thin&Lite® products. The Web sites will provide more comprehensive product and industry data to eye care professionals (ECPs), as well as give consumers access to more information in an organized, easy to navigate format.

• Varilux: Varilux is the industry’s leading progressive lens. Varilux.com is now the portal for ECPs and consumers seeking information about the Varilux family of lenses. New enhancements include current product availability data, searchable product information by design or by material, relevant articles and research, links to Web sites with related lens technologies and the tools to locate an Essilor sales consultant.

• Airwear: Airwear is a lighter, stronger, scratch-resistant lens that provides total UV protection. Airwear.com is the leading source for consumers and optical industry professionals to learn about the benefits of polycarbonate lenses. Informative videos and flash demonstrations highlighting the benefits of Airwear/polycarbonate lenses are featured on the new site. New enhancements also include current product availability data, searchable product information by design or by material, relevant articles and research, links to Web sites with related lens technologies and the tools to locate an Essilor sales consultant.

• Thin&Lite: Thin&Lite offers wearers a lens that is nearly 50% thinner and flatter for sharper vision, better optics and an enhanced appearance. The new Web site, Thinandlite.com features information and benefits about all three indexes – 1.60, 1.67 and 1.74 technology, availability charts and consumer guidelines with make-up tips.

With the launch of the new sites, Variluxpro.com and Airwearpro.com will no longer be active as eye care professionals can find needed information through the new integrated Web sites. All of the Web sites also feature a new design and color scheme, as well as a new interface.
