    OLYMPIC eyewear...

Ok guys what eyewear have you been noticing at the Olympics this year???

I still see a lot of OAKLEY out there.
    Some Adidas.

For hockey the visors are made by Oakley. They have that market big time.

I see a lot of ALPINA ski goggles out there, who makes those???

    ?

I was asking the same thing, but looks like I got no response, particularly. Maybe you'll get some information. I was hoping some of the vendors would answer.

2006-02-23 - Turin Olympics: Many Rudy Project Athletes on the Podium

A week after the start of the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Rudy Project has been on the most coveted podium steps several times thanks to its athletes who all wear the new ImpactX photochromic lenses.

In the 5000 meter speed skating event, Enrico Fabris received the first medal for Italy by winning a bronze in 6'18"25. This is an historic event because he is the first Italian to win an Olympic medal in this sport. Enrico Fabris, Ippolito Sanfratello and Matteo Anesi won the final of the team pursuit in 3’44’’46 and gained a gold medal.

Rudy athletes were also victorious in the biathlon: Michael Greis from Germany won a gold in the men’s 20 km individual race, while Martina Glagow took the bronze for the women’s 15 km individual event. More brilliant results in the women’s 10 km pursuit with first place going to Kati Wilhelm, second to Martina Glagow and fifth to Michela Ponza.

Triumph also in the women’s Nordic skiing team sprint event with Sweden’s Anna Dahlberg and Lina Andersson, and in the men’s with Bjorn Lindh. A silver for the women’s event went to Beckie Scott.

Another bronze medal in the women’s 10 km cross-country skiing was won by Hilde Pederson from Norway with Steira Kristen in fourth place.

In the 4x5 km Nordic combined team event, the silver was won by Ronny Ackermann and Bjorn Kircheisen in the German team. In the women’s 4x5 relay, another silver went to Germany’s Evi Sachenbacher and Viola Bauer, and the bronze to Italians Gabriella Paruzzi, Arianna Follis and Antonella Confortola.

The gold medal for the men’s 15 km Nordic skiing event was won by Andrus Veerpalu and the bronze by Tobias Angerer from Germany. In the men’s 4x10 km relay, Giorgio di Centa and Cristian Zorzi won the gold, Germany’s René Sommerfeldt and Tobias Angerer won the silver, and Anders Soedergren and Mathias Fredriksson from Sweden won the bronze.

Quite good results in the short track with seventh place going to Fabio Carta in the 1500 meters and another seventh place for Marta Capurso in the women’s 500 meters.

All Rudy Project athletes wear the Freeon, Rydon and Ekynox models.
