If your lab is an OLA member they have a Progressive Identifier they can send you that has everything you need in it.

Do us a favor. The board is long enough without people posting threads more than once. Rewording or not, post it once and wait.

It's a good compilation. I'll compare it to the one I currently have in my office.

But what I'd really like to see is an unbiased, side by side compilation of the clear and blur zones of all progressives in the form of those distortion pictures that some manufacturers use when they want to promote their progressive and bash someone elses.

Unfortunately I had to remove this because the OLA has never given permissios to post this copyrighted material publily, even though they have been contacted several times. Maybe someone could put some pressure on them?

    ?? Confused ??

I understand the principle of copyright, but in saying that, I didnt post the document as a PDF, I posted a link to where the document it is, and has been freely available for some time. All I did to find it was google it, like I did last time I needed it

Just because someone else posts copyrighted material on their forums does not absolve me from trying to do the right thing and respect people's copyrights. It seems to me that if the OLA wanted to allow this they could have at least responded o our requests.

Shamir has a pretty amazing program that compares side to side certain lenses-although I imagine there is a "bit" of bias-it is still very interesting to see.

Laramy-K Optical has a progressive lens chart available through their website. The chart is from 5/11/2004 and therefore not exactly current, but still useful. The link is:

    http://www.laramyk.com/learn/identif...gressives.html

Steve, I hope there's no problem from Laramy with posting this link :)

I have a pdf copy given to me by the OLA with verbal permission to distribute it. There will be a 2006 version out in March or April. Email me at JohnTriCity@yahoo.com for a copy.
