    Excel sheet for Calculating Material Index

    Here is a way you can check the material Index of you lenses:


    1.) put the vertex power you have measure

    2.) put you supossed material Index, or the given from you rx supplyer to verify

    3.) for this you need a gauge to measure the radius of the front surface in mm,and then put it ito the sheet.

    4.) for this you need a gauge to measure the radius of the back surface in mm,and then put it ito the sheet.

    5.) here put the center thickness

    in the yello field, there will apper the real Material Index of you Lens, so if some supplier send you 1.67 and you have ordered 1.56 you will noticed this.
