    What type of progressive lenses suit for monocular patient??

    what type of progressive lense suit for monocular patient, for example if patient's one side is blind or having glaucoma, so which progressive suit it , how bout the fitting ??

    Anything fit properly. The rules really do not change.

    As for fitting hit the monocular pd, hit the monocular fitting height, and make sure that the balance lens matches.

    if i choose varilux comfort for this patient?

    if i choose varilux comfort for this patient, and i get mono PD from it, and other side i give it single vision for balance only, is it ok?

    but monocular patient , is hard to convergence for read near?? did u hav any suggestion?

    as long as the single vision lens is around the same rx and same centre thickness. Also, match the index and AR.

    You definitely want to check the near PD. There may be a normal amount of convergence, a reduced amount, or none at all, the latter playing havoc with the near vision in PALs. When there is no convergence I tell the lab to rotate the lens to eliminate the inset, but I wonder if any of the free-form PAL designs can be had without an inset.

    An opinion of mine is that monocular patients prefer no blur above the 180 line. I would fit with Zeiss Gradal or Younger Image.

    can monocular patient wearing short corridors PALs also?
    do patient fill comfort? or just normal PALs like Essilor Adaptars, or Varilux Comfort, fit for this patient?
