    because it is an occupational lens, it is likley the lens is set up for intermediate vision in the straghtforward gaze. that is the point of an occupational lens, which gives you excelent vision whilst at your desk. Your father will need a second "general purpose" pair of spectacles for the rest of the time, for which the stright forward gaze will be set for distance vision

    Nikon web.lens

    Hi cnet_Baby,

    Nikon web.lens is the correct name of your father glasses and it was design to use with computer at 80 cm only , no more and no less.

    If you father would like to see farer than 80 cm he have 3 choice ;
    1. take the web.lens out and look at far by naked eye.
    or
    2. going for office lenses like Shamir office or Sola Access that can extend the range from 80 cm up to 2 meter
    or
    3. going for PALs like Rodenstock Impression ILT or Varilux Ipseo or Varilux Panamic or SolaMax
    4. no other choice in this case .
