It must be my old SOLA photo then -- from about 10 years ago. This is what I actually look like now, in case any OptiBoarders should run into me at a tradeshow or something (be sure to flag me down and say "Hi").

And Steve is the guy who runs our Marketing department -- but he's from 'Jersey, so I cut him some slack. ;)

    Yikes,

From your posts I thought you were one of those wizened professor-like gents who accumulated his knowledge throughout the past 100 or so years. You know the type, smoking a pipe in front of his fireplace reading Tolstoy...

No. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express. ;)

But, seriously, I've just had a passion for this stuff since I got into the business (back in '91), as well as the fortune of having access to a lot of exceptional people that have taught me a great deal along the way.

    Ah, Darryl!
Don't spoil the myth! I've been supposing that you are the reincarnation of an old time optician (or the multi-talented wizard, Da Vinci,) who has successfully accessed all those memories and secrets from another eon and who delights in expanding his knowledge in these later days, sharing the knowledge with your awestruck optical acolytes! :D

Darryl, thought you were a babe then and still do....

We should gather all you hunks up and do a calendar.

It is good to see what you look like after all the years of talking to you on the telephone it is nice to put a face with the voice. I knew you were young when we first started communicating and it looks like you still are. Keep up the good work.

Is there enough for a full year, we might have to reduce the amount of months in a year.:D

Well, I'm the son of an old time optician, if that counts for anything. Though, as much as I enjoy expanding my knowledge, I really don't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Da Vinci, whose brilliance and talent I have always admired. He truly embodied the spirit of the Renaissance.

Only if you agree to dress up as Chicken Little waiting for the sky to fall. ;)

Hey Jerry, good to see you turn up again! I don't know that I've heard from you much since I left Tech Services; I hope you're at least still keeping Nancy in line. I turned 33 last month, so I'm not quite the whipper-snapper I once was.

I don't know that I'm really "Calendar" material, though I certainly appreciate the kind remarks. :o But Jedi, Chairtime, and QDO sound like they might be up for a photo spread. ;)

Yeah, after he got out of lab work he managed a Pearle store at one point, and later owned his own Pearle Franchise for a while. I'm sure he's proud of me, but I'd like to think that most parents are proud of their kids, as long as they don't wind up in prison or a methadone clinic. ;)

I'm not sure. Something that might take up a page or so. But keep it taste full you naughty naughty girl;) . I was thinking if we get at least 12 good pics and enough people are willing to buy them we could take all the left over money and send it to hurricane katrina relief groups or something.
