If your tinting operation is not that big...say up to a dozen jobs or so a day, I would consider using hot pots. You heard me, hot pots. They ccan be adjusted not to boil over, heat only the colors you want, they're CHEAP, they heat up in five minutes, No smelly, toxic HTF.

We have a 3 OD, 3 LDO practice. We've been using them for almost ten years. I will never go back to the traditional tinting units. They're messy, smelly, require HTF.

Try one or two. How much can you lose. About $9.00 each.
