Has anyone used optek equipment and what can you say about it????:p

they make some darned tough and nice cylinder machines! I've had the chance to use a few rebuilt ones lately while helping at another store, and they are the quietest machines I've ever used (even on a -2.00D sphere surface!).

I've got one in my back room that I'm going to rebuild sometime in the next year, the gears, belts and motor still look pretty good, but it's prolly gonna need a complete replacement of all the bearings though... $$$.

I have Optek surface equipment (generator and cylinder machines) and we love them. I don't know anything about thier blockers, etc. Really they are a good solid value, we like them better than the Coburn and Vista.
