    Blue Jumper Silhoette Nose Pads

While I am not a dealer or terribly interested in silhouette frames but of late I have seen a silhouette and a silhouette knock-off (springy plastic three piece) come in with the nosepads mounted and "adjusted" to be 90 degrees (wire, pads and all) from the lens base. Is this the way the things are supposed to be?

I know the source of the origional model and he is a great salesman but not an optician.

I really wanted an answer to this one, are the nose pads supposed to stick straight out toward the patient on these frames?
