    Question

Anyone else watch "Neurenburg" (sp?)? I noticed the glasses Alec Baldwin was wearing... I think they were supposed to resemble Rim-ways, but there were no screws. It looked like a nylor semi-rimless frame- did they have these in the 1940's?

    Just curious,
    Pete

PS Good movie, but they should have took the story further. Also, saw a terrific movie called "Longitude" on A&E on Sunday (its about 3 1/2 hours long, though!)... about the invention of the nautical chronometer (can you tell it was hot out this weekend?????)

    Pete,
You know you've been in this business too long when you're always noticing people's glasses and wondering what kind of frame they're wearing :-) Unfortunately, although I DID notice just about everyone's lenses in "Nuremburg" were very circular, I don't know my vintage frames that well.
BTW: It's a miniseries, so if you didn't get enough, there'll be more tonight!

I noticed Alec Baldwin's glasses too. They were a "retro looking" pair, but something was out of place. I can't tell for sure, but I think they had modern set of nosepads on them. Good flick though. Most "civilians" probably wouldn't have noticed anything out of place about the eyewear. I guess it's just an occupational hazard for us.
