If you have the chance, take a look at a Nova show "Einstein's Big Idea"; it will repeat thru out the fall/winter. Really well done, examines the thread of scientific inquiry starting with Faraday (that doesn't look right...) and the notion of energy up thru E=MC2. Very well done and brought down a bit for the non physicist viewer. Very awe inspiring to see of how these brilliant minds deduced the nature of the physical world. Great show for kids.

This isn't exactly cerebral viewing like NOVA, which chm2023 posted (above), but here's a little promo for the only fictional TV series that I try to watch on a regular basis: NCIS.

I used to have 4 chanels, and used to be able to switch on the TV and watch something interesting. I have over 500, and they are all a pile of doggie doos
