..and Frist's SEC troubles, and the indictment/firing of the WH staffer (forget his name) in conjunction w the Abramoff investigation, and the naming of "Scooter" Libbey as Judith White's source for outing Plame. (This outing business will be very hard to prove; what isn't hard to see is if on day 1 Wilson writes his NYT op-ed piece undercutting the WH SOTU claim of Iraq trying to buy uranium from Niger, and on day 3 Rove talks to the Time reporter giving his wife's CIA identity, and on day 4, Scooter does the same with the NYT reporter, this spells "orchestrated". Nice bunch of fellas we have running the government. Again, swift boating: if you say something that is not in line with what the WH is selling, they attack you--and your wife---not your argument).

This is all a Democrat plot???---geez, I wish we would use some of this talent to win or rig elections!!

How do you think a guy named "Scooter" would fare in prison???:D

Karen, I didn't mean "you" to mean "you specifically", it was a more "you six million or so residents of the mentioned counties." And before you throw in wholeheartedly with Texas Republicans, if you didn't already read the link that I tossed in up there, I'd urge you to do so. And this is interesting, too.

I agree with your general analysis, just wanted you to know I am a little less Libertarian than some of my neighbors. My hair is way too small to really completely fit in in Texas anyway. :) I have to say that this whole thing fascinates me. Even I know now that Delay is at least a bully and at worst a criminal. I don't expect people in power to be pansies but if he had been a little friendlier to people in his own party perhaps the glee currently cirulating about his apparent demise would be turned down a notch. If only we could get the straight facts on this case from any news source. I guess I am gonna have to sit down and read the indictment. Sheesh.

I heard that in Texas, conspiracy can be proven circumstantially. It might not be as hard to convict as you think.

Hopefully, from among DeLay, Rove, Frist, etc. someone will be convicted. And please make it before the 2006 elections.

In the New Jersey govenor race, Corzine (D) ads are associating Forrester (R) with Bush. "Just like George Bush, Forrester is against stem cell research". I guess he figures that only Bush supporters will vote for Forrester - all 42% of them.
