Steve, take care and know many of us are thinking of you, Marlena and your kids this month.

I haven't forgotten what you said; "we ask in her memory that you smile at people, act kindly and approach others as if they're your friend. Please also consider being an organ donor."

I've made a donation to AmeriCares in honor of Elizabeth and what you requested two years ago. With the storms affecting the gulf this year, I am sure that those of us remembering Elizabeth in this way will make a difference in some person's life.

I did see her banner on the site and took a moment of my day (moment of silence) to focus my thoughts on you and your family. Its not easy...I know...

I hesitated before posting what appears below, in the fear that it would reopen a wound, but we have more than doubled in size in 2 years and I thought our newer members should be aware.Forgive me if this causes Steve and Marlena more pain.

Steve and Marlena's daughter Elizabeth passed away unexpectedly two years ago on September 22nd. Her parents requested what Jo quoted above to be done in her memory. Although at times, we may fall somewhat short of the goal, their friends and fellow board members strive to keep the faith with that request.

Understandably this is a difficult time for them and now that you are part of our family I am sure they take comfort in your heartfelt best wishes for them.
