    FT polycarbonate photochromic

Vision-ease now offers a Flattop 28, in poly, in photochromic!!!! It's not Transitions, but I guess it'll have to do. I can't get the specifics from their website - it must be a big PDF file and I have dial-up here at work.

That's a very important club in my bag! I've been waiting soooo loooong.

I heard that too, but I don't know too much about it yet.

The product is called LifeRx. It is available in D28 and aspheric SFSV with other products coming. It utilizes a Photochromatic film that is molded into the lens. Clear indoors, darkens just as quickly as any photochromatic, gets just as dark, fades back 50% faster than any other photochromatic. Tegra coating on the front (Bayer of 6+). Can be surfaced to 1.0mm CT. Compatable with most AR coatings.
The technology is the same as their SunRx polarized polycarbonate lenses. Instead of a polarized film, a photochromatic film is used.

It is my understanding there is a history of politcs that follows Vision Ease's new product release as they and Transitions couldn't come to terms in marketing a mutually agreeable product.

Work with it in SV and flat-top. Progressive coming soon. It's a nice lens.

Do you think it's too high or too low? I'll probably charge the same price as a clear poly premium PAL.
