Yesterday, I received from our lab our job for the lovely and most humble katrina victim.

I called her son and he brought her out this morning, she had a new pair of pants on and a blouse which she told me were purchased at goodwill, she mentioned that they had "lovely" things there.

I dispensed her glasses and adjusted them properly. I asked her what she thought and in the most humblest of ways, she said.... " Thank you, I can see"

Since our first encounter, she has learned that her house and everything she owned was destroyed. She is missing her brother and one aunt. She is currently working with aid officials to see if she can locate her family members.

She walked out with a smile on her face and a skip in her step and I am very proud of my office and employees for making it happen. It was just one person, but I believe we really made a difference in her livelyhood.

That is all.
