    Mississippi Coast

    Report from the Mississippi Coast:

Appearently all of our opticians have survived. I heard from Julie West and Mr. Beaudreaux today. Many of thier businesses did not, Steve Kern lost 3 of four locations, I hear.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with Kent Berger, I have heard he is alive and well but I need to know where to send a HOYA job now?

I do not seem to be able to call South Mississippi Yet, or South Louisianna and cannot use 800 fax numbers to anywhere but Memphis.

Good to hear that everyone is alive. Don't know what to do with Hoya jobs except to find another lab.

Since I can't afford Vegas, due to the cost of my "VACATION" in New Orleans, I may be back down there sooner then thought (this time for free !!)

HOYA New Orleans (formerly Metro Optics) has moved its employees and operations to temporary quarters inside our Dallas facility. They are producing jobs every day. We have tried to contact all the accounts, but obviously phone service in the affected region has been spotty. Those customers that order electronically can continue to do so.

You can contact Kent Berger directly by calling the normal 800 number--it has been rerouted to the "virtual" New Orleans facility in Dallas.

All HOYA employees have been accounted for.

    My Grandaughter Came home!

My grandaughter (from Wiggins, MS.) has been in Kentucky since Katrina with her aunt and some of my other grandchildren. Her school was destroyed. When It came time for her to return, the good children in her KY class gave her a big going away party! Big printed plastic sign, cake, etc. The also gave her a going away present of more stuff than will fit in a Ford Crown Victoria. New clothes, lots of toys and other wonderfull stuff.
Hats off to the wonderfull people in KY.
