Too bad the Flames are going to get their revengeOriginally Posted by EyeManFla
Let the games begin. I think Sutter will have one more trade/signing up his sleeve. One more scoring forward.Originally Posted by For-Life
What blows me away is the contract St.Louis signed, 6 years!!! Maybe he feels he doesn't have the steam left in him and is securing his future. Furthermore, 2 years for Andreychuk, the poor guy is going to have a stroke on the ice, he'll never last.
Eyeman, thanks for keeping our cup safe you can come and visit it next summer, I think we'll hold on to it for a few years. Flames Dynasty coming up.
I am a Leafs fan, but am furious with them signing Lindros, and not doing what they had to do to become a contender this year. I am still upset over what happened to the Flames and will back them this year.Originally Posted by Jedi
Honestly though, I feel the Flames have one of the best teams out there. They got the best player (Iginla) and hopefully Kipper can keep it up.
Though I am not a Leafs fan, it is sad to see what has happened over the past few weeks. Gary and Joe leaving, signing Lindros, signing Domi at 2mill, etc. etc. The rest of the Canadian teams will be very strong (Montreal is tough to tell), but the Leafs are going to have a hard time making the playoffs. Sad.
Who is favored to win the cup?
...Just ask me...
That is the wonderful thing. This year any team can possibly win the cup.Originally Posted by Spexvet

- Philly
- Ottawa

- Chicago
- Boston
- Florida
Actually, the question was a setup. From what I've read and heard, The Flyers are (or were until recently) favored by most of the "experts" to win The Cup.

Then there's everybody else
Finally, the Lindros deal has paid off for The Flyers (remember that Forsberg was part of the deal to get Lindros)Originally Posted by For-Life

Flyer's will not win. Not as long as Bobby "The Goalie Killer" Clarke is at the helm.
Esche will not be able to bring them the silver.
Around Philadelphia the experts feel that ANTERO NIITTYMAKI will be the starter in goal by the end of the season.
...Just ask me...
When will teams learn that Eric Lindros is the hasbeen that neverwas!
Even though the Bolts have their core fairly well intact, Grahame should do well replacing Nicky, my odds on bet will be that come June, the Cup will be draped in Black and Orange!

bah
Watch them all flop. Final is Ottawa versus Calgary. That would be interesting polticial news too, because there is a strong rivalry in Canada between those two centres right now.
I can just see the banter between Paul Martin and Ralph Klien.
