    UK anyone?

    Just out of interest, are many people on this forum from the UK?

    It mostly seems to be a US based forum. From my knowledge of the UK market, a lot of the opticians here are only just starting to get online.

    It is by universal misunderstanding that all agree. For if, by ill luck, people understood each other, they would never agree.

    Im sure the UK will drag itself into the 21st century soon enough. Most of them are just mastering touch tone phones.

    We see many members from all corners of the world. I wish they would jump in and start posting because they have a lot to offer.Perhaps its because we're based in the US which makes them reticent, however we have moderators from Austrailia, Israel, the UK and a former mod from Canada who still contributes on a regular basis.

    Dear Brits;
    There is a program here in the states showing the session of the House of Lords, they ask Tony Blair a question and he stands up and replies, then he sits down, they ask him a question, he stands up gives his reply and sits down. The whole time he is being jeered and cheered. I can't tell what is going on? Are they proposing laws? Trying to pass laws?

    Nope, I think they are just arguing.
    Probably just on principle, even if they agree.
    If you watch long enough you will probably catch a highlight, some old f@rt shouting 'order'.
    Maybe we should get them all in front of Judge Judy, let her sort it out.

    Hello Allstar. There are a few of us here.

    As for Prime Minister's Questions, can anyone imagine Bush, Clinton, or Reagan being that well briefed, and walking into the Commons bear-pit for half an hour per week? I get annoyed by the easy underarm questions from Labour back benchers.

    hello allstar, yes the board is predominantly american, but just wade in with your opinions, and you will be praised or damned like everybody else, at the end of the day the work we do and the problems we have are pretty well the same all over the world, and if you do have a problem this board is probably the best place to find a solution.
    :cheers:
