Paris Miki, is it still in business?

Someone asked me today if I knew if Paris Miki was still in business, they used to own a small chain called Lens Lab?
    Anyone know?

On my last trip to Bellevue, WA, there was still a Paris Miki in the Crossroads Mall. Beautiful shop, with lots of customization available. One of the first to use computers to demonstrate what each frame would look like. Then take it further to show the different lens shapes and frame colors for each 3 piece mount. They also sold lots of high end product. I believe the Armani and Modo lines were their lowest tier.

I am not sure if the Lens Lab portion still exists. I thought something went down with that 5-6 years ago before I moved back to Indy. It could have been just a local thing though.

PS, that trip was just over a year ago..

I just found a site that says thier Tokyo Stock had a 66% cut in earings estimates. Wouldn't look for them to be around too long. Seem to have several stores in Australia though.

I work for Paris Miki Australia in a Sydney store. There are 32 stores in Australia, over 1000 in Japan, a couple hundred more in China, Taiwan, Thailand, SG, malaysia and about a dozen each in USA and UK/France/Germany.

The website is http://www.paris-miki.co.jp The Australian part of the site is very amateurish and outdated (hope my management don't read this :shiner: ) so I won't bother posting the link here.

thanks for the replies on Paris Miki

I am a manager for LensCrafters and was transferred to Jackson, TN to take over a Lens Lab acquisition. One of the licensed opticians who was with Lens Lab during the 1997 acquisition was curious if they were still in business. I told her if I posted the question, I would certainly receive some answers.
    Thanks,
    Jessica
