If you click on the scales, a screen pops up that allows you to add or subtract from a person's reputation. It also has a box for a message. I always leave a comment and identify myself if I add to someone's reputation. It's been a long time since I took away reputation from anyone - I decided I would not give negative reputation any more.
You check your reputation in your user cp - you'll see that at the top of every screen. You'll see other poster's reputation represented by the green and red squares in the top margin of their posts - green = positive, red = negative, black = turned off, more than one box = alot of reputation either way. Now practice by clicking on my scales and adding to my reputation. :bbg:

ok, mine says i have 23 points and i,m even, but i dont see any comments, i clicked on the scales and a pop up window came up telling me that, is there something else to do so you know who said what
