HONG KONG--Moulin Global Eyecare Holdings Ltd. is considering various financial alternatives, including a recapitalization proposal that may involve “raising new capital by way of a rights issue, other issue of securities, asset sales or the introduction of a strategic investor,” the company announced today. Two Moulin directors--Dennis Ma and COO Joe Barrett--resigned from the firm’s board last month, the announcement noted.

Two Moulin directors--Dennis Ma and COO Joe Barrett--resigned from the firm’s board last month, the announcement noted.

"Moulin Global Eyecare Holdings (389) is negotiating a ‘standstill agreement’ with its creditors. The group plans to sell non-core assets, introducing strategic investors, or offer right issue to have debt restructuring as eight banks calling in $329M loans. Moulin bought 56 per cent of ECCA for about US$250M in December last year. Moulin failed to issue $306M convertible bond in April. The group was in ‘technical default’ over a $750M syndicated loan because its shares had been suspended for more than nine trading days. However, the finance for ECCA would not be affected as it was completed"
