Hello all! Anyone know a resource my dad can use to find a job in Texas? (Forth Worth area) He has done all the necessary stuff as far as licensure and is ready to be a Texas OD. They are probably leaving here the first week in August. He has has a few offers from the Pearle and Walmart people but was looking more for a private practice either OD or MD to work in. Karen has he tried Optometric Management web sight? www.optometric.com it sometimes has openings. also have him contact the Texas Optom Asoc for a list of OD/MD in the DFW area then he can ship out some resumes. Doesnt Houston have a OD school? If so they should have a placement dept that would have a list of openings in the area. good luck and let us know how it comes out.

Cougar High (The University of Houston) is the Optometric School there, reputed to be one of the best, although it was a one year course back in the late 50's.
