I use dishwashing soap in hot water. It shouldn't hurt the frame.
It will for sure not damage the frame but properly clean it. Dishwashing soap is a very mild degreasing soap and not agressive. I am just not so sure how well and at what speed it will remove the color on poly. Probably will take you hours to do it.Originally Posted by CME4SPECS

Very nice................but I think you are more old timer than me, I have a soapy solution that does it in a few minutes................the same way in your salt pan.Originally Posted by Ed_Optician
ok here's my question. it may sound vague but here it goes. why would you want to bleach a poly lens?
To remove the tint
oh , oops :hammer:
i use a neutralizer at 250 degrees F to remove tint. i'll have to get the name of the solution i use.
Very simple answer.......................You tinted the lens and it is too dark.................customer wants brown instead of black.............so you got to remove or lighten up the color on the lens.Originally Posted by slackware
