I saw it, loved it, best movie since Empire Strikes Back. Let's have your 2 cents.
Jedi,
First one to see it you are.
Never guessed that one I would.
I found a theatre in the area with a digital projection system (which is to say, no film).
It was the visual equivalent of the difference between vinyl and CD.
Find one near you:

Thanks Robert. Since I moved from LA to Ventura I've been wondering if there was a digital theater in the area. Guess not :(.Originally Posted by shanbaum

My kids dragged me to this and I didn't hate it. That is saying something as I normally loathe this sort of movie. Quite clever actually.
Now if you want to see my kind of movie, see if your digital cable system is offering a movie called "Trekkies", it's Sundance or IFC if I'm not mistaken. Hilarious, though it helps if you can stop yourself from thinking that these people vote, breed, likely handle food at restaurants you may frequent. Oy.
I thought it was great........really tied all the loose ends up.The only thing is that i thought the ending moved to quick........would have loved to see more of Vader.Originally Posted by Jedi
I agree completely- I was impressed with how well all the loose endings were tied up. In fact, I can't really think of anything that was left hanging- which is as it should be. I particularly liked the way the appearances of Vader and the Emporer were explained.
The acting, as usual in these movies, was adequate at best. I think Kenobe probably pulled of his role the best (if one sticks only to the human, non-digitized characters). It was refreshing to lose the dialog of Jar-Jar Binks (I would have loved to see him die by getting his ears caught in a rapidly spinning object, however- easily the most annoying character in the series...).
;)
My son, who at 10 has become a huge fan of the other five movies (he likes the originals better than the new additions as well, which is interesting), liked it- so there you have it. Apparently, Lucas pulled off a movie that was equally appealing to the new fans and the (gulp) old ones like me- quite a feat!
