Katzrin is a town in Golan - small, compact, modern
and green.
Because of the town's location ,
one can see the Lake of Kinneret (Tiberias) from anywhere.
Enjoy...![]()

This city was founded in 1928 and named after an American Jewish
philantropist Nathan Strauss.

I love Haifa as well - one of most beautiful locations in the world-
- reminds me of SF and Anchorage.
And I'd live there, if it were not for the damn 90% humidity.
All coastal plain in Israel has this minus-
where as for Jerusalem -
here its 15-30% most of the year:D
:(...although its pourring cats and dogs right this moment..with thounder:hammer:

.....honestly,
after NYC with its 105'F in August and 2'F in February,
after Juneau ,AK with its rain 8 days a week all year around,
Anchorage with ( i never forget) a first snowfall on Halooween of 1994 - only 52 inches....
I'll take Jerusalem's dryness and average 320 sunny days a year.
And if i want to make a "beach saturday"- 1/2 hour taxi ride to Tel Aviv...

Just north of Jerusalem in the mountains
between moshavs Ora and Aminadav is located JFK Memorial .
Built in 1966 by architect David Resnick.
Among others his projects were
The Mormon University's branch on Mt. of Olives,
The Jerusalem Hyatt and
the Resnick dorms of the Hebrew U,
where i had lived a semester in 1983.
Check out the strip-like columns- there are 51 of them-
50 states and DC.
There also is a grave of Arthur Rubinstein and a memorl to Elsa Lasker-Schueller .
And some magic vistas...
all that in my next post.
