I'm looking for information not related to marketing materials published by lens companies, on the performance of individual progressive lenses. I would like to provide our team with tools related to the best lens for the prescription. For ex: a short corridor progressive may present unique problems to a tall hyperope with more than a +1.75 add ... from that premise, will the Elipse lens by Essilor actually make a difference to this type of wearer?
This type of thing might seem second nature to most, but I find we get stuck in a rut using the same lenses over and over, because it is easy to use what we know. I'd love to see a list of progs others are using, and why.
Is there such an animal? A list of all progressives, their design features and benefits - their specific target RX, etc. Are all lens companies still designing for Plano wearers with a +1.00 - +2.00 add?
Thanks for your help.
