Have had similar problems with progressive poly, two this week. Patient went to rimless and I felt I needed something less breakable. Big mistake. Went from comfort CR-39 to Airwear.

what about trivex and or phoneix lenses for your progressive rimless.
I've had great success with the HOYA Summit ECP. My patients (plus power patients) who were originally in Poly love this lens and state that the reading area has opened up quite a bit for them and also the reading area is not so harsh on the edges...
What lens would you recommed?=

1.) The corridor, proper, is not as wide as you describe. You mean the "near zone". Picky, picky.
2.) The total power of the lens in the near zone does not affect the width of the near zone. It's the CHANGE in power from the distance portion to the near portion, i.e. the add power (considered in terms of change, not total near power).
I said the same thing John said about the adaptar. I wouldn't put anyone in that lens and with what's available today, why would you want to?
My progressive of choice is Shamir, Varilux, Zeiss, Image, Hoya Gp Wide, it depends on the frame, what they have been wearing, and sometimes the Rx.Originally Posted by 35oldguy
