All the ones in Cincinnati pulled up stakes a few years ago. I know 4 people that bought glasses on friday and EW never opened on monday, poor folks lost their money!

Hi Glen,
My guess is that Wisconsin's attorney general shut them down. I saw lenses eye for eye, segs at grotesque angles etc. Last I checked they were transferring calls to the Rockford Il branch 90 miles away. Of course the Rockford branch knew nothing of this and told the callers to "come on down" only to arrive and see a closed store. The Muse brothers seem to be the new three stooges of the eye-world.

A bit over a year ago, a majority stake in the company was sold to Summit Partners a $5 billion asset investment firm.
The Eyeglass World web site lists 60 stores. I do not know if this is current/accurate info, however.
Marc Andrea Musa who was VP at EW, was reported to have purchased Jeff Gordon's Florida house for $15 million shortly after the sale of Eyeglass World to Summit.
Eyeglassworld is still alive and well. But ther have been a few changes.
Marco, Max and Marc have sold out their majority ownership and Eyeglassworld and LVI are no longer major parts of Musa Holdings. Seems the law suits and class action suits and TV investigations got the better of the boys.
The Port Charlotte store is only now being rebuild from Hurricane Charlie.
And it would seem that marc did buy Jeff Gordon's old house.
Marco is still busy rebuilding his castle in West Palm.
Max, well who really cares about Max anyway?
Oh and as far as being the Three Stooges of the eyewear industry, they have proven that you can be unethical and still make a big, big money.

Eyeman,
Yup. Capitalism rewards profits not honor, although the marketplace should, in theory, eliminate the worst of the lot. But combine a good marketing department with a sufficient number of gullible consumers...
Here's and old, probably Chinese proverb, 'There was a person who climbed a huge pile of dung to get to a rose growing out of the very top of the pile, only to find that after the long climb to the top they had lost their sense of smell'.
I've always believed that bad things happen to bad people. I just hope it comes in this life so I can enjoy watching karmic justice play itself out.

I see they are starting to re-build the store in Port Charlotte, FL. It wa 100% destroyed by Hurricane Charley. All that was left was the four exterior walls.
