Question AR coating on polarized lenses

Myth or fact? Kind of hit a wall on the subject of whether an AR coat benefits the use of a polarized lens. I'm working on the idea that perhaps it aids the reflection of wavelengths that are primarily absorbed by the film, but not 100% percent convincing myself of the idea. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Wink Jus da back

Backside only because: You can get glare from light behind you reflecting off the back surface of the lens which the polarizing filter does not help. The ARC is delicate despite improvements and people wear shades in areas where stuff happens, exposure to sand, sticks weads, briars, etc. Front side AR will scratch easily in these environments.
